Not much reviews this week as I did not have much mood to shop. While waiting for my turn to shower, shall rant a little hahaa.
The trip to the dentist is hell. Super bad news ahhh.
Bad news first -
Apparently one of my last molar broke while chewing some nuts last few days ago because it has decayed very badly that it became weak.
The worst thing is that that last molar is not the only one. Actually the other side of my last molar also the same case but I did not know as there is not much pain, just a little sensitivity which I thought was my wisdom tooth..
In conclusion, both of my bottom last molars have decayed very badly.
Why?
Because of all the stupid wisdom tooth!!
Should have heed the dentist's advise 2 years ago to go remove all my wisdom tooth.
Well, 2 years ago I went to National Dental Center for braces consultation.
Did X-rays etc and found out that in order to put on braces, I need to remove 9 tooth.
9 tooth as in all 4 wisdom tooth + (2 upper front & 2 bottom front to make space for braces) + the last inactive tooth hidden inside my front gum that didn't erupt at all. This inactive tooth has to be surgically removed as the dentist is afraid that the force of the braces might not be ideal for the inactive hidden tooth and it might pose risk.
I was really worried about the removal of these 9 tooth especially the wisdom tooths + the inactive hidden tooth + low tolerance of pain so I thought perhaps I shall wait for a few more years when it became inevitable for me to extract my wisdom tooth then I shall take 1 GA shot and remove everything.
But it's so wrong.
Now the bottom 2 wisdom tooth caused both my bottom molars to decay so badly that the dentist can only offered 3 solutions:
- Extract both bottom molars (<- try not to unless it's beyond hope.)
- Implant (<- both my parents did this several times and did not find it very effective + takes 1.5 years, such a long time)
- Root Canal (<- I think the current best option to save both molars.)
If I knew wisdom tooth can be this evil, I should have hurried to removed it :(
This is how my bottom wisdom tooth looks like:
This type of partially erupted wisdom tooth is very dangerous. The dentist says food particles tend to get stuck in between the gap of the last molar and wisdom tooth. It's too deep to clean it even with flossing, overtime, it starts to decay without your knowledge and its best to get it out if it's the partially erupted type.
Now the first thing I need to do is to find a good dentist, then seek consultation + xrays & treatment options.
But first and foremost I need to remove my wisdom tooth. Since I am opting for general anesthetic, I might as well remove all 4 at one go rather than to remove 2 by 2.
Perhaps after I removed all my wisdom tooth then I can start to do the root canal treatments for both molars.
Root canal treatment for molars are more tedious because molars and other teeth, which have more than one root, have
corresponding multiple nerve canals, which are usually much narrower and
curved, compared with the single, wide and straight root canals of the
front teeth. Instrumentation and cleaning of these multi-rooted teeth
therefore is more difficult and requires more time, skill and
equipment.
O.M.G. I gonna die of torture the next few months :(
Most probably shall do the extraction either end august or mid september.
The good news is -
My upper molars are fine, although somehow it's kinda sensitive which again I thought it's my wisdom tooth. So just gonna get rid of all these wisdom tooth before history repeats itself.
Dam emo now, I'm like starting to plan my last month of enjoyment before I meet my maker -.-
